Laundry Services
Laundry Services form an integral part of the Operation & Maintenance Projects and comprehensive Life Support Services handled by QCC.
The Laundry Division of QCC has established Standard Operating Procedures to provide guidance in both operation and maintenance of laundry services, within QCC operations.
These afore mentioned Standard Operating Procedures are strictly adhered to by our experienced staff and highlight: staffing & equipment, safety procedures, training, preventive maintenance, in addition to the collection & distribution workflow, segregation & marking, washing & drying of clothes.
QCC Laundry Division provides 24/7 quality service to our valuable clients on monthly and yearly contracts. Our dedicated, well-trained team has the knowledge and considerable experience to handle a wide range of textiles and fabrics efficiently, in particular, Uniforms, Workwear & Medical Scrubs, and all other types of Garments, Linens, etc
WE CUSTOMISE OUR SERVICE TO CLIENT’S BUSINESS NEEDS FOR DAILY, WEEKLY OR MONTHLY LAUNDERING…
The various stages of operation in our facility would include:
Step 1: Collection
QCC’S Laundry Division shall organize the collection of soiled Uniforms, Linen & Workwear garments from client premises, at their convenience, and items will be transported to QCC centralized facility. Proper marking of laundry items will take place at pick-up point, to ensure that all collected uniform, linen & garments are returned in a timely and effective manner, thus minimizing the potential for error.
Step 2: Sorting
Upon delivery to the laundry facility, the received uniform, linen and garments will be carefully analysed and sorted, based on type and texture, so that correct processing methodology can be applied. A well-established mechanism is in place to sort the items into batches and plays a very critical role in enhancing the life-span of laundry items, whereby lightly-soiled garments will not be subjected to a “pre-wash” cycle. QCC’s Laundry Division will use a production-line method for sorting the soiled items, with full-time employees assigned to perform the task.
Step 3: Spotting
Post ‘sorting process’, each garment is thoroughly inspected for stains by our skilled staff, who will gently & carefully cleanse the spot, using specialised equipment and chemicals. As a standard procedure, all garments marked for dry-cleaning will go through a spotting process, in addition to the other garments or linen that may require spotting.
Step 4: Washing or Dry Cleaning
At this stage, the laundry is washed or dry-cleaned as per the fabric and texture of the linen or garment. The sorted linen is weighed in accordance with the washing machine’s load limit and inserted into the machine. The dry-cleaning machines have the necessary capability to dry-clean all kinds of garments, whether heavy or delicate
Step 5: Drying, Ironing and Folding
In this stage, the clean linen and garments are dried, ironed and folded. All garments are pressed on specialized, multiple presses to ensure a crisply-ironed, high-quality finish
WE LAUNDER, PRESS AND FINISH YOUR GARMENTS, LINEN OR DRY-CLEANING – WRAPPED AND PACKED READY FOR YOU TO POP INTO YOUR STAFF LOCKERS OR LINEN ROOM SHELVES!
Step 6: Packing
The processed linen is prepared for despatch and delivery. Individual orders are filled, based on the needs and requests of customers, and then sent to the laundry’s main packing area. Garments can be delivered folded, or on a hanger – in accordance with customer’s preference – and are bagged properly.
Step 7: Delivery
In this final step in the process, manpower, specially-trained in both laundry operation & the principles of good customer service, will transport the clean linen back to the customers in specially-designed, customized delivery vehicles.
